Review by Rick Romancito

Tim Robbins seems to take great joy in playing a nefarious Bill Gates clone in this film about the dark side of computer-software empire builders. Robbins' character is the charismatic head of the NURV Corporation, which is set to launch its new all-encompassing software via a global satellite network. But without acquiring the necessary computer codes, he may not be able to launch it on time. That's when he sets his sights on enlisting a young programmer played by Ryan Phillippe. A web of lies, intrigue and plot twists ensue as revelations about NURV begin to pile up. Fun movie for anyone who takes great pride in using a copied computer-software program for free.
